When it comes to coffee brewing techniques that are easy, inexpensive, and just down right tasty, the French Press and the Aero Press are the way to go. Take these steps and get on with the drinkin’.\

  • The French Press

  • The French press is a simple and affordable brewing method that produces a rich and full-bodied cup of coffee that has become our favorite at home go to. Here's how to use a French press:
    • Coarsely grind coffee beans (medium to coarse grind).
    • Add the coffee grounds to the French press carafe.
    • Pour hot water (just below boiling point) over the grounds.
    • Stir the coffee gently to ensure even extraction.
    • Place the plunger on top of the carafe but do not press it down.
    • Allow the coffee to steep for about 4 minutes.
    • Slowly press the plunger down to separate the coffee grounds from the liquid.
    • Pour the brewed coffee into cups and enjoy.
  •  The AeroPress

  • It’s versatile! It’s compact! This little brewing device allows you to experiment with different brewing techniques, we take it everywhere we go cause it fits in your pocket basically (it would require a pretty large pocket though). Here's a basic method for using the AeroPress:
    • Place a paper filter in the AeroPress cap and rinse it with hot water to eliminate any paper taste.
    • Attach the cap with the filter to the brewing chamber and place it on top of a sturdy cup.
    • Add finely ground coffee (medium grind) to the brewing chamber.
    • Pour hot water (around 175-185°F or 80-85°C) over the coffee and stir gently for a few seconds.
    • After stirring, insert the plunger into the chamber and press down slowly but firmly.
    • The entire brewing process typically takes about 1-2 minutes.
    • Dilute the brewed coffee with hot water or add milk and sugar as per your taste.
